Welcome to my Rollercoaster

Hello and welcome all! If you’re new to this page; well good news…SO AM I!!!  I decided I would use this platform to help myself work through some hard pills I had to swallow today…. I’m in debt. Not that cute $10,000 and under debt; I mean SERIOUS debt. The kind you’d scratch your head and go, “Well how’d you end up like that?” kind of debt. I know what you’re thinking, Oh great! Another “get out of debt” blog. While it’s true that’s the skeletal of these posts; but not the meat. You see, I S.U.C.K at any and all of those very things those other blogs try to sell you on. You know what I mean: the Dave Ramsey blah blah, the snowball blah blah blah, emergency fund yada yada, couponing this that and what have you…so on and so forth.

Now I know where your mind is headed, what’s the point of this blog then? Well, I’m glad you asked. I’m writing this blog to give insight to the everyday person. You know, those of us who can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel of debt. Those of us who dream of a six figure income, only to be awaken by the reality of a six figure debt…. To be fair, most of the debt I have is more from investments in myself than anything else (though I will not lie to you… A good portion of it has come from my lack of budgeting).

I want to invite you all to travel on this journey with me as I continue to figure what in the world I’m doing wrong, what I’m doing right, and how once and for all get a handle on all of my debt. Am I planning to have all of this debt paid off in a finite amount of time??? HECK NO! I told you, this isn’t that type of blog. What I will be doing is giving updates from time to time to keep you all informed on how I’m managing my negative balance of funds as well as provide some ideas and inspirations on anything I have done to help alleviate the burden of this monster I’m going to call GI-DEBT-OR.

Also, because we all may have had a time or two where we dreaded the inevitable call from the “DEBT COLLECTOR”, it’s only fitting I deem myself the Debt Rejector. Anyone who wishes to follow along on this wild endeavor can call themselves debt rejectors as well. I just want to put it out there, a disclaimer if you will; I am in no way, shape, or form, an expert on anything financial. I do not have formal training or background in understanding how finances work (probably how I ended up in my situation in the first place) or the know-how behind budgeting, financing, or anything of the sort. I’m just an average person trying to pay off an abnormal amount of debt. Join me for the ride, won’t you?
